This photograph illustrates the value of candid street images as historical records. It is of it’s time. Dated by the COVID poster and such a total contrast to any photograph made of my own mother 70 years ago as she raised me in those times of hardship following WW2. Today, the complexity of modern life makes motherhood no less challenging.
